Introduction to Hand Coding: Rock Paper Scissors

If you are new to the NeuroMaker Hand 2.0 coding, this is the perfect project to get started!

Welcome to an exciting project where you'll dive into the world of coding with the Neuro Maker! We'll be using the Neuro Maker how-to-program guide to create a fun and interactive project with the Neuro Maker Hand.

In this project, you'll discover the magic of block-based coding, learn how to choose a random number, and work with variables. It's the starting point for anyone new to coding and is designed to be beginner-friendly. Plus, it's just the first of many foundation projects, so there's plenty more to explore and learn after this. Let's get started and have some fun coding!

Project Duration:

90 minutes

Group:

2-3 students per team

Necessary Supplies

  • NeuroMaker Hand

  • Laptops or tablets for programming

Pre-check Items

  • Ensure the NeuroMaker Hand 2.0 is assembled

  • Complete the "Programming the NeuroMaker Hand" training with coding environment fully set up.

Learning Goals

  • Learn how to program the NeuroMaker Hand by using random number generation to simulate the random element of the rock-paper-scissors game

  • Strengthen problem-solving abilities through programming robotics, and game development
