NeuroMaker STEM One (1) Year Limited Warranty

1. Scope and Duration of Coverage

This Limited Warranty is provided by BrainCo Inc. (“NeuroMaker,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), the company behind the NeuroMaker STEM brand. BrainCo warrants that each of the following products:

  • NeuroMaker Hand 2.0,

  • NeuroMaker BioSensor Kit,

  • NeuroMaker BCI Headband, and

  • NeuroRacing Components

purchased directly from NeuroMaker or from an authorized reseller/distributor will be free from defects in manufacturing, materials, and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the original date of shipment (the “Limited Warranty Period”). This limited warranty is non-transferable and valid only for the original purchaser with proof of purchase from NeuroMaker or an authorized reseller.

2. Limited Warranty Coverage

2.1 Repair or Replacement

  • During the Limited Warranty Period, NeuroMaker, at its sole discretion, may repair or replace any defective product or component. Such repair or replacement may involve the use of new, repaired, or refurbished parts or products.

  • Any repaired or replaced product or component remains covered under this limited warranty only for the remainder of the original Limited Warranty Period.

2.2 Warranty Claim Requirements

  • A valid proof of purchase (showing purchase date, product information, and seller details) from NeuroMaker or its authorized reseller must be provided for all warranty claims.

  • Prior to any repair or exchange, the defective product must be returned to NeuroMaker with shipping costs prepaid by the sender.

  • NeuroMaker reserves the right to verify the defect before authorizing any repair or replacement under this limited warranty.

2.3 Authorized Purchases Only

Purchases made from unauthorized resellers or distributors are not eligible for coverage under this limited warranty.

3. Definition of Normal Use

For the purposes of this limited warranty, “Normal Use” is defined as:

  • Adherence to Documentation: Following all assembly, usage, and care instructions provided in the official product documentation (including but not limited to assembly instructions, quick-start guides, online tutorials, or labels) accompanying or referenced by NeuroMaker.

  • Intended Environment: Operating the product in recommended indoor or classroom environments, or other clean and stable surroundings specified by the documentation, under normal conditions of temperature, humidity, and ventilation.

  • Appropriate Handling: Using the product with reasonable care—protecting it from drops, impacts, liquid spills, or exposure to harsh chemicals.

  • Authorized Accessories and Connections: Using only accessories, wiring, sensors, or other components approved or recommended by NeuroMaker.

  • Compliance with Limits: Operating the product within specified voltage, current, and other applicable performance limits as indicated in official product specifications.

Activities that exceed these criteria, such as applying incorrect voltages, immersing devices in liquids, or repeated exposure to extreme environmental conditions, are considered outside Normal Use.

4. Exclusions and Limitations

4.1 Coverage Limit

This limited warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship arising under Normal Use as described in Section 3, within the operational limits specified by NeuroMaker.

4.2 Exclusions

This limited warranty does not cover:

  • Improper or unintended use including but not limited to misuse, abuse, overloading, or neglect.

  • Wear and tear from normal usage, including cosmetic damages such as scratches, dents, or discoloration.

    • Accidents, drops, impacts, or other external forces.

    • Unauthorized alterations, modifications, or tampering.

    • Environmental conditions (weather, water exposure, etc.).

    • Power surges, incorrect or improper wiring, reverse voltage, static electricity, overloaded servo motors, or short-circuiting.

    • Commercial usage in ways not expressly permitted by NeuroMaker.

    • Shipping damage after the product has been delivered to the original purchaser.

    • Use of the product in competitions, events, or practice scenarios that exceed Normal Use.

  • Theft or loss of the product or any components thereof.

  • Connector damage or damage to ports resulting from improper handling or forceful connections.

  • Storage or charging issues (including improper battery charging or storage, where applicable).

  • Components not provided by NeuroMaker for NeuroRacing and any resultant damage from using such components.

5. Disclaimer for Product Modifications

Any modifications to the product beyond Normal Use, including the use of non-authorized repair services, non-NeuroMaker parts, or self-repair attempts not explicitly approved by NeuroMaker, will void this limited warranty. Specifically:

  • Unauthorized Repairs: Repairs, part replacements, or modifications performed by anyone other than NeuroMaker or an authorized NeuroMaker service provider.

  • Non-NeuroMaker Components: Incorporation of parts or software not approved or provided by NeuroMaker.

  • Altering Internal Mechanisms: Tampering with, removing, or replacing internal circuitry or protective housings.

These modifications fall outside the scope of this warranty, and any resultant damage or product failure will not be covered.

6. Limitation of Liability

6.1 No Other Warranties

Except for the express warranties stated in this document, NeuroMaker disclaims all other warranties, whether oral or written, express or implied, to the extent permitted by law, including any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

6.2 Duration of Implied Warranties

Where applicable law does not permit the disclaimer of implied warranties, any implied warranty is limited to the duration of the express warranty set forth above and ends upon expiration of the Limited Warranty Period.

6.3 Exclusion of Incidental or Consequential Damages

NeuroMaker is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages arising out of or related to the use or inability to use the product, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Some states or countries do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply.

6.4 State or Country-Specific Rights

This limited warranty gives the original purchaser specific legal rights; the purchaser may also have other rights which vary from state to state and country to country. For consumer transactions, the terms of this limited warranty, except to the extent lawfully permitted, do not exclude, restrict, or modify any mandatory statutory rights applicable in the purchaser’s jurisdiction.
