Corporate & Organizational Grants

At NeuroMaker STEM, we are committed to empowering educators by providing access to funding opportunities that support the integration of innovative STEM solutions into classrooms. We understand that securing financial resources is crucial for implementing effective STEM programs, and we are here to guide you through various corporate and organizational grants available to educators.

 

Corporate Grants

 

Toshiba America Foundation

The Toshiba America Foundation supports educators aiming to introduce hands-on projects in math and science. Grants are available for K-12 educators in public and private schools.

  • Submission Deadlines:

    • Requests up to $5,000 for grades 6-12: June 1, September 1, December 1, and March 1.

    • Proposals over $5,000: November 1 and May 1 annually.

 

Westinghouse Charitable Giving Program

Westinghouse focuses on education, particularly in STEM, environmental sustainability, and community development. Applicants must be within 50 miles of Westinghouse operations.

  • Application Timeline: Rolling basis.

 

Samsung Solve for Tomorrow Contest

Samsung invites students in grades 6-12 to use STEM to address community issues. Schools can win up to $100,000 in technology and supplies.

  • Deadline: October annually.

 

American Honda Foundation STEM Grants

The American Honda Foundation funds projects with clear objectives and measurable outcomes, supporting STEM education nationwide.

  • Application Deadline: February each year.

  • Funding Range: $20,000 to $75,000 for a one-year period.

Sony Grants for Education

These grants prioritize education with the areas of art, culture, technology, and the environment to encourage the creative, artistic, technical, and scientific skills needed in the future workforce.

  • Application due date: Grants awarded on a rolling basis.

 

Verizon and the Verizon Foundation:

Grant applications are by invitation only. You will need to contact your local community relations manager to see if you’re eligible. The Verizon site provides a search tool to find your school’s point of contact.

  • Application due date: Varies by location.

 

 

Organizational Grants

 

Rural Technology Education Fund (RTF)

RTF aims to inspire rural students to pursue technology careers by funding classroom projects in computer science, engineering, and related fields.

  • Application Review: Every 30–60 days.

  • Funding Amount: $500–$2,500 on average; larger amounts for impactful projects.

 

TVA STEM

The Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA), in collaboration with Bicentennial Volunteers Incorporated (BVI), a TVA retiree organization, offers the STEM Classroom Grant Program to support STEM education in K-12 public and private schools within the TVA service area. Educators can apply for grants up to $5,000 to fund projects that align with TVA's key focus areas: energy, environmental stewardship, economic development, career development, and community problem-solving. The application window is designed to allow teachers to apply before the academic year begins, with funds distributed before January 2025. This year, TVA will award a total of $1.5 million to schools across the Tennessee Valley region to enhance STEM learning initiatives. 

  • Deadline: August 1st to September 15th Annually

  • Region: Eligible applicants are teachers or school administrators in public or private schools, grades K-12. 

  • Schools must be in the TVA service area and receive electricity from a local power distributor served by TVA. (TN, KY, GA, VA, AL, MS)

  • Grade Level: K-12

  • Amount: Up to $5,000

 

The NEA Foundation

The NEA Foundation offers grants to public school educators to enhance teaching and learning, with a focus on STEM education in high-need districts.

  • Deadlines: February 1 and September 15 annually.

 

Foundation for Technology and Engineering Educators (FTEE)

FTEE supports programs that promote technological literacy and excellence in technology and engineering education.

  • Deadline: December 1 each year.

 

AAUW Community Action Grants

The American Association of University Women (AAUW) provides funding for innovative programs promoting education and equity for women and girls.

  • Application Period: August 1 to November 15 annually.

  • Funding Amount: $2,000–$7,000 for one-year projects; $5,000–$10,000 for two-year projects.

 

Tips for Grant Applications

  • Align with Grant Objectives: Ensure your project aligns with the specific goals and criteria of the grant.

  • Demonstrate Impact: Clearly outline how your project will benefit students and contribute to STEM education.

  • Provide Detailed Budgets: Offer a comprehensive budget that justifies the funding requested.

  • Highlight Sustainability: Explain how the project will continue to benefit students beyond the grant period.
